Privacy policy

Last updated · July 2026

Zerus AI (“Zerus”, “we”, “our”), operating from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, is committed to handling personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

What this policy covers

This policy covers the zerus.ai website. Products we build and operate for clients (for example, Zerus Realtor) handle end-user data under the applicable client agreement and, where required, their own privacy terms.

What we collect, and how

This website has no user accounts and does not itself store your data. We collect personal information only when you choose to contact us: your name, email address, company, and whatever you include in your message or project brief — sent to us by email (including via the “Start a project” page, which opens your own email client). Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical data such as IP addresses in server logs to deliver and secure the site.

Cookies and analytics

The site currently sets no cookies and runs no advertising or cross-site tracking. If we add privacy-respecting analytics (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and no cross-site tracking), we will update this policy.

Why we use your information

We use the information you send us to respond to your inquiry, assess and scope your project, and communicate with you about it. We will not add you to a marketing list without your separate, explicit consent, and we do not sell personal information.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers needed to operate our business — website hosting (Cloudflare) and email services — under their confidentiality and security terms. These providers may process data on servers outside Canada (including the United States); where that happens, the data is subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry and project correspondence for as long as needed to serve the engagement and meet legal or accounting obligations, and delete it when it is no longer required.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Correspondence is stored in access-controlled business accounts. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Privacy Commissioner as required by law.

Your rights

You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, withdraw consent, or ask us to delete it (subject to legal retention requirements). Email info@zerus.ai and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

Our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

Changes and complaints

We will post any changes to this policy on this page with an updated date. If you are not satisfied with how we handle a privacy concern, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
